Upgraded the TiVo

Today was the day my Xbox decided while running Linux it was going to
corrupt the F partition (all my game backups, and linux images) (Go
GentooX!) so I decided to see if my TiVo (That’s been broken since
before xmas due to an accidental drop) would work. (I wasn’t sure if I
only fried the drive or if I did more damage.) Luckaly I had a backup
image of the stock drive and imaged it onto the 200gb HD (with a 1gb
swap partition, nice increase from 32mb!) out of the Xbox, about 45mins
later it had finished and it worked as soon as I popped it in the
TiVo… (Oh how I missed that TiVo start up movie!) A Quick check of the
drive capacity shows a very nice 231 hour capacity (nice increase from
~40 hours!) once I verified it worked again, I hooked up the phone line
& ethernet card, did a Clear & Delete (took more than a hour. Like 2.)
And saw the welcome screen again.. Time to configure it & get the latest
software updates.
Now if TiVo would hurry up and release TiVo To Go for mac, I would be
even happier. :) But this will suffice for now.
